Here's another sampling from the varied pool of musical talent that exists in our little corner of the world. Hailing from Stratford, Michael Bannerman has fashioned a strong solo album that could easily take its place on radio playlists and iPods everywhere. Losing Balance is a pleasant mix of pop ballads that show deep Eighties pop influences but still manage to make their own mark due to confident musicianship, tuneful hook choruses and passionately rendered vocals by Bannerman himself. The only thing possibly holding this record back somewhat is the workmanlike studio production which seems centred more on audio quality being kept at an acceptable level rather than giving the tracks the extra push an outside producer might have brought to the table.  - Rod Nicholson (The Scene - London)
